Vegetables are an integral part of any healthy diet. If you don’t eat enough vegetables, you’ll be missing out on key nutrients, minerals, phytochemicals and or course fiber that can’t be reproduced of scientifically created anywhere else. Eating a crap diet and taking a multivitamin won’t set you up for a healthy life. Fueling your body with fresh delicious wholesome vegetables is one of the key components to a long healthy life. So, how do you know if you’re getting enough?

Vegetables are always the best part of my dinner plate. I’m so excited to load up on veggies of all different shapes, sizes and colors, experiment with texture and flavor and dig into something truly unique. No eggplant, zucchini or cauliflower is created the same. They are like snowflakes, basically the same but completely different in so many ways. If you think vegetables are plain and boring, well then they will be plain and boring, but if you think like I do, that they can be absolutely delicious, you’re in for a treat. The first way to know if you’re getting enough is to look at your own plate to see if you’ve got a delicious and exciting variety of veggies at every single meal.

Listening to your body is the best way to know if you’re giving it the right fuel. Think of your body as a well-oiled machine. When you have the right fuel everything runs smoothly. When you have the wrong fuel the gears seize up and nothing works quite right. The fuel your body needs is wholesome fresh food, prepared simply. Vegetables are the best fuel for the body, yes you need other elements too but vegetables create an amazing foundation for health and wellness.
